Ali Redback was a student at Waterloo Road who appeared in Series 7 Episode 1.
She was raped by her stepfather, Callum Pearson, who got her pregnant. She gave birth to a baby boy, with boyfriend Kyle Stack thinking it was his.
On the first day of the new school term, she arrived at school very early in the morning and dumped her baby inside one of the school changing rooms and left him there. He was later found by Rob Scotcher.
Callum wanted to give their son up for adoption to avoid his wife and the authorities finding out what he did to his stepdaughter, but Ali was not okay with this as she wanted to keep her son and wanted to escape her stepfather once and for all. She asked Kyle to run away with her, but they were seen by Christopher Mead.
They began to run when Karen Fisher, Sarah and Callum arrived to stop them, with Callum grabbing Ali by force while she held her son. Ali shouted "I don't want him touching me again!" revealing to everyone that he raped her and that he was the one who got her pregnant, much to her mother's, teachers' and Kyle's horror, and Callum's fear now that the truth was revealed.
Kyle tried to defend Ali but he was shoved to the ground by Callum. Kyle later stood up and was shoved again until Chris Mead punched Callum and almost beat him up, but Karen stopped him. Then Ali's mother, Sarah, went hysterical and attacked her husband shouting "What have you done!?". Callum was later arrested while Kyle and Ali came back to school; Kyle was depressed because he thought that the baby boy was his son and was heartbroken for Ali for what happened to her, but Chris comforted him by saying he acted great by defending Ali.
Ali and her son were later taken into care by social services. What became of them afterwards is unknown, as they are not seen again.
